Aisha, la joven afgana mutilada por su marido, recupera su rostro y la sonrisa

Hace dos meses el mundo entero se estremeció con la portada de la revista Time, donde aparecía una joven de 18 años a la que su marido y la familia de éste le habían amputado la nariz y las orejas como castigo por haber tratado de huir de él, un talibán.
“Lo que ocurre si abandonamos Afganistán”, titulaba entonces la publicación. Tras ese devastador suceso, Aisha consiguió viajar a California, Los Ángeles, con la ayuda de la Fundación Grossman Burn para someterse a una operación de cirugía y reconstruir así su rostro mutilado, según publica Abcnews.
Esta semana se ha podido ver por fin la nueva cara de la joven. Sonriendo y posando para las cámaras, Aisha ha recibido además un premio de la fundación que financió su intervención quirúrgica. [20minutos.es/noticia/842328/0/aisha/nariz/afganistan/]
